On May 28, 2007, Nokia launched the Mobiledu learning solution in China. It launched this interactive feature with the aim of making it easy for the Chinese to learn English. Mobiledu was launched at a time when the Chinese education market was poised for huge growth. Its launch was a hit in China because of its easy applications and design. Nokia, however, faced stiff competition from other e-learning firms in China and this prompted it to venture into vocational training.
