Hyderabad, April 25, 2019: EFMD, which is a prominent accreditation agency for Management Schools with their EQUIS accreditation, announced the winner of the highly prestigious EFMD Case Writing Competition recently.
ICFAI Business School Hyderabad won a whopping three awards in the prestigious competition. Two IBS cases “Eliminating Modern Slavery from Supply Chains: Can Nestlé Lead the Way?” and “LATAM: A Latin American Airline’s Emergence as a Global Player”, written by Ms. Syeda Maseeha Qumer and Dr. Debapratim Purkayastha won the ‘Supply Chain Management’ and ‘Latin American Business Case’ category respectively. Another case “The Greater Manchester Waste Development Authority – Challenges in Sustainable Waste Management”, written by Dr. KBS Kumar and Ms. Indu Perepu, won the ‘Urban Transition Challenges’ category.
Prof. Eric Cornuel, Director General and CEO of EFMD, said, “EFMD is proud to continue encouraging innovative and impactful case writing and teaching. After a rigorous selection process, the very best cases were recognised in 17 management-related categories. We are happy to support the development of outstanding cases.”

We cornered three out of the 17 winning cases, that were chosen from a total of 550 cases from some of the best business schools from around the world,” said Dr. Purkayastha, Dean, IBS Case Research Center. Other winners included cases from INSEAD, ESADE, Stanford, Kellogg, etc.
