Dr. Vijaya: The case method has proven to be a very effective tool in engaging students as well as challenging them to think critically about issues that affect managers every day. It is one of the best tools to train business students to step into the shoes of decision makers and practice thinking and communicating like managers in a classroom environment.

Dr. Vijaya:I love teaching with cases. In my view, the class comes alive when you teach with cases.

Dr. Vijaya:Winning this prestigious award was a very pleasant surprise. I am honoured and humbled to receive this award.

Dr. Vijaya: Thank you for your generous compliments! In my humble opinion, a good teaching case is one that has a good story and a great decision focus that allows for debating the decision on hand from multiple perspectives. And it does not hurt to have a maze of issues and contexts woven into the story!

Dr. Vijaya: Publishing cases in Case Folio and also in the IBS case repository has been a very good experience for me. It allows me to reach a global audience that I may not otherwise have access to with other journals and, thus, have a greater impact through my case studies. I also appreciate working with Debapratim Purkayastha as the editor, and his exceptional staff who are highly responsive and fast. Debapratim is the most prolific and highly decorated case writer I have met, so far. He and his team are amazing!

Dr. Vijaya: Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you on the case method. I think every educator teaching business students must try teaching with cases as well as pursue case research and writing. It is truly a worthwhile and impactful experience.
