The case discusses India’s first Asian Games Squash singles bronze medalist, Dipika Pallikal (Dipika), her unwavering commitment towards the game, and major challenges she faced during her career. Dipika started playing at a very young age, and won numerous awards in junior championship. Later on, she won many international tittles at prestigious tournaments like Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, bringing glory to the nation. During her career, Dipika confronted many challenges. Dipika was unhappy with some Indian authorities like Squash Rackets Federation of India and the country’s government funding system. She was disheartened by the fact India lacked sponsors for this expensive game and had never organized big squash tournaments. However, defying all the odds, Dipika managed to focus on her game bring glory to the country at various international tournaments.
