Abstract
In the month of November, 2015, Chennai International Airport (CIA) was affected severely due to floods in Chennai. Despite facing the impact of Nature’s fury, the management of the Airport and Airports Authority of India has been criticized for constructing a runway bridge over the Adayar river. This case study therefore focused on highlighting the objectives and events that had happened before initiating the construction of the bridge and provided a scope to discuss on the role and responsibilities of the governments, public servants and business organizations, in developing and implementing business plans and economic policies having less impact on the environment.
