Abstract
The case discusses about the Gyandoot, an e-government project started by the state government of MP (India) that won the prestigious Stockholm Challenge award in 2000. Gyandoot is an intranet network of computers connecting the rural areas and fulfilling the everyday, information related needs of the rural people. The case highlights the problems faced by the villagers before the implementation of the project.
