Abstract

The case presents the changes introduced by Crompton Greaves, an electrical equipment manufacturer in India, on the operational front at one of its plants in Nashik, Maharastra. Examining in detail the changes made in operational and human resources practices at the Nashik’s switchgear factory, it discusses the efficacy of these changes in boosting productivity.
