IBS Hyderabad Case Study Wins 'Best of the Best' award at EFMD

Jointly Wins the Award with Said Business School, University of Oxford

IBS Hyderabad case study "WaterHealth International: Providing Safe Drinking Water to the Bottom of the Pyramid Consumers" won the award for the 'Inclusive Business Model' category at the highly prestigious EFMD Case Writing Competition, organized by European Foundation for Management Development. As the winner of this category, the case was submitted into a second round of judging to be nominated as 'Best of the Best' from the total 14 winning cases. Subsequently, the case was adjudged the 'Best of the Best' along with another case from Said Business School (University of Oxford).

The case study was authored by Prof. Debapratim Purkayastha of IBS Hyderabad, with Ms. Hadiya Faheem. "It's a great honor," said Prof. DS Rao, the Director of IBS Hyderabad, "IBS Hyderabad has won category awards at EFMD in the past. But this is the first time the organizers decided to have a 'Best of the Best' category. I am really glad that we won this coveted award in this highly competitive event. This speaks volumes about the case research initiative at IBS Hyderabad."

The competition attracts submissions from top B-Schools from around the world. The other category winners were from Said Business School, INSEAD, IMD, Maastricht University, ESMT European School of Management and Technology, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, China Europe International Business School, ESMT, Lawrence Technological University and Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore).
