PepsiCo, headquartered in Purchase, New York, USA, was a global food and beverage company. Its products are sold in more than 200 countries and territories around the world. The origins of PepsiCo date back to the late 19th century when a young pharmacist Caleb Bradham (Bradham) started selling a refreshing drink called ‘Brad’s Drink’ in his pharmacy. The drink was later renamed Pepsi-Cola, and went on to become a key challenger to rival brand Coca-Cola. In 1965, Pepsi-Cola merged with Frito-Lay to form PepsiCo Inc. In the subsequent years, the company reshaped its portfolio, built new capabilities, invested in new geographies, and went on to become a key player in the global beverage market along with the Coca-Cola Company (Coca-Cola).
