Abstract
In December 2007, US-based eBay Inc. formed an alliance with Yahoo! Japan Corporation in a cross-border trade agreement. The deal allowed users of Yahoo Japan Auctions to bid for items on eBay’s US site via Sekaimon.com. By mid-2008, both the companies planned to extend the deal to US buyers, enabling them to buy items listed on Yahoo Japan Auctions.
