Abstract
In 2008, Trico Homes (Trico), a family-owned real estate and construction company co-founded by entrepreneur Wayne Chiu (Chiu) in 1989, was ranked among the top ten on the list of ‘great places to work in Canada’ for the third year in a row. It had also been consistently ranked as one of the Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies since 2003. The company contended that its business success coupled with the recognition that it had received reflected the strong corporate culture that it had developed under the leadership of Chiu who wanted to create a legacy business.
