Abstract

Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited, one of India’s leading municipal solid waste management companies, was founded in 2001. Since then, it has assisted various municipalities and municipal corporations in ensuring cleanliness and promoting hygienic practices. By 2022-23, the company had emerged as one of the leading municipal solid waste management companies in the country. It had a significant geographical presence and technical and human expertise to meet the ever-changing requirements to ensure environmental sustainability and promote circular economy. Antony has initiated several innovative practices in collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal of the municipal solid waste. As of 2023, Antony served only specific locations in the country but it aimed to diversify its services to different places.
