Family Feud at Biological E. Ltd.
INTRODUCTION
On April 15, 2015, Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy of the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled that Mrs (Dr.) Renuka Datla would be Managing Director of Biological E. Limited (BEL), founded by her father. Renuka was fighting the case for management and control of the company against none other than her daughters, Mahima, Indira, and Purnima, after the sudden demise of her husband, Vijay Kumar Datla. Renuka claimed in court that after her husband’s death, her daughters and G.V. Rao, Director, BEL, had started conspiring against her and that the Director had illegally inducted all her three daughters into the board and appointed Mahima as Managing Director. She further alleged that the transfer of her husband’s share of 81% to one of her daughters was on the basis of a fake Will and so was invalid. With her constant pleas going unheeded by the Company Law Board, Renuka decided to file a case against BEL, G.V. Rao, and her three daughters in the City Civil Court, Hyderabad...... |
