In May 2008, ExxonMobil announced that it would invest US$ 70 million to double its carbon capture capacity at its La Barge, Wyo. facility. The company also said it would spend another US$ 100 million on testing a new technology which would make it easier and cheaper to extract CO2 out of natural gas. Neil Duffin, President of ExxonMobil's 
Project Development Company, said, "Natural gas is the answer to green-energy 
low-carbon concerns."
