APF was built on a set of robust core values that offered a mirror image of Premji’s philosophy for an equitable society. APF’s change strategy focused on two macro-elements – People and Knowledge – which encompassed six strategic components (Refer to Exhibit-II for APF’s Strategic Components and Intervention Programs), progressively guiding the phases of APF’s initiatives. The six strategic components were further broken down into various programs and projects, which marked APF’s Phase I toward reforming the primary education system.
