Abstract:
Nokia, the world's largest maker of cell phones, realises the importance of
analysing, reviewing and managing all the opportunities, threats and risks in
relation to its corporate objectives. The principles documented in Nokia's risk
policy and accepted by the audit committee of the board of directors cover
different aspects of risk management.
All the employees are responsible for identifying and managing risks in their
respective areas. The important risks identified by Nokia include technology
risks, marketing risks, operational risks and financial risks.
