Introduction

On September 29, 2020, Nestlé S. A. (Nestlé), one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, announced the setting up of its new R&D accelerator in Switzerland. The R&D accelerator was started to create innovative products with speed-to-market features in sustainable dairy, including diary alternatives which were plant based.

Nestlé’s new R&D accelerator was located in its R&D center at Konolfingen, Switzerland. The accelerator aimed to provide a world class setup to students, scientists, and startups to utilize the dairy and plant protein know-how of Nestlé to create products in a short period of time.
