In June 2020, Manu Kumar Jain (Jain), Managing Director of Xiaomi India, a subsidiary of Xiaomi Corporation, a Chinese multinational electronics company, stated that 99 percent of Xiaomi India’s smartphones, along with the majority of the smart televisions it sold in the country were manufactured locally.
