Introduction
On June 18, 2021, the initial public offering (IPO) of Hyderabad, India-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospitals was oversubscribed 3.86 times with the offer receiving bids for 55.6 million equity shares against the IPO size of 14.4 million shares. KIMS Hospitals, one of the largest corporate healthcare groups in southern India, had a presence in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It operated nine multi-specialty hospitals under the ‘KIMS Hospitals’ brand.
