Introduction
In an industry first initiative, India based online ordering and delivery platform Swiggy introduced a ‘moonlighting’ policy in August 2022 for its employees, including those of its subsidiaries, affiliates, and associates and full-time employees of group companies. Moonlighting is a practice that allows employees to take up a second job outside normal business hours or on weekends.
