Introduction
The Pandavas through their skills and valor had quickly built a capital city in Khandavaprastha and named it Indraprastha. They conducted the ‘Rajasuya Yagya ‘, a Vedic ritual performed by ancient Indian kings, to establish Yudhishtira as the sovereign emperor of Bharatavarsha with wealth and power beyond imagination. Duryodhana and Shakuni were invited to attend the Rajasuya Yagya. Duryodhana witnessed the grandeur of the Indraprastha palace and the opulence of the Rajasuya Yagya. He felt humiliated when he was taken in by the illusions created by the design and architecture of the palace and became an object of ridicule.
