Didi commenced its operations in September 2015 as an entity formed after the merger of two on-demand mobility service providers in China, Didi Dache (developed by Beijing-based Xiaoju Technology, a mobile application development company) and Kuaidi Dache (Hangzhou-based Kuaizhi Technology, an artificial intelligence creative platform).
