On January 23, 2023, India-based Tata Motors Limited (Tata Motors), a part of the US$ 128 billion Tata Group, announced that it was voluntarily delisting its American Depositary Shares (ADS) from the New York Stock Exchange. The announcement came 18 years after Tata Motors had started trading on the exchange. The company announced, “After January 23, 2023, there will be no over-the-counter market trading of the ADSs in the United States due to regulatory restrictions under Indian law.”..
