INTRODUCTION |

A unique teacher less, nonprofit, private school called ‘École 42’ (42) was established in Paris in 2013 to teach computer programming to students for free. It provided an enabling environment so that students learnt from one another in a self-organized manner. Speaking on the school, the billionaire founder, Xavier Niel (Xavier), said, “And it works. It works objectively. Whether you have a criminal record, suck at math, say dumb shit, we don’t give a damn. We don’t take that into account, we only care about two objective criteria. And if you happen to have those, we’re pleased to help you, because we think you’ve got everything to pull yourself out.” The two objectives mentioned by Xavier were logical reasoning and motivation.
