Introduction

In May 2019, the fifth-largest bank in the US, The US Bank (US Bank), warned customers to be wary of a phishing scam that used its name to try and steal customer related information (See Exhibit I for Information on the Top Banks in the US). Craig Browning, Regional President for US Bank, said customers were being sent texts from a number that claimed to be from US Bank that included a link for people to click on.
