Nike’s Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiatives
After the Covid-19 pandemic began and lockdowns were imposed by governments worldwide in March 2020, Nike gave its employees paid Covid-19 sick leave, in addition to the existing paid sick leave and time off benefits. In November 2020, the company went beyond the physical health of its workers and also focused on their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Through Nike’s EAP, the sportswear giant offered free virtual counseling sessions which gave its employees and their families’ access to trained counselors who helped them address issues such as managing stress to finding services for elderly care..
Looking Ahead
Starting from September 2021, Nike offered its WHQ employees the option of a hybrid model of work wherein they could work two days remotely.
