In July 2020, the Indian subsidiary of Switzerland-based Nestlé SA (Nestlé) and leading packaged food manufacturer, Nestlé India Limited (NIL), reported Rs 33,253 million in revenues for Q1 2020, as compared to Rs 31,493 million in the last quarter of 2019. However, the company stated that its sales had been adversely impacted by the nationwide lockdown imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) . Suresh Narayanan (Narayanan), Chairman and Managing Director of NIL, said, “Our Company remained resilient in the first quarter, as the numbers indicate, and delivered volume and mix led growth.”..
