Introduction
In May 2021, China-based Midea Group Co. Ltd (Midea), one of the world’s leading home appliances-makers, announced that it would continue to work closely with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) ’s operating system HarmonyOS to realize a more efficient and smarter Internet of Things (IoT) system. Xiang Jiangxu (Xiang), Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer of Midea IoT, said with HarmonyOS, Midea would be able to form an effective link between its products and the smart IoT system. Xiang said, “The HarmonyOS system would cover almost all categories of our products, namely about 200 varieties, within this year.
