Neurodiversity Hiring at CSI
Through the neurodiversity hiring program, CSI targeted neurodiverse individuals to bring diverse perspectives and skillsets into the workforce. The neurodiversity program was a paid internship program which lasted for about 3 months or 12 weeks . The company provided the qualified candidates with training and support for career growth in various job roles, especially across its IT and digital workforce including data engineers, software engineers and cybersecurity analysts..
Road Ahead
Chevron’s approach to inclusion was both proactive and innovative. The company looked at diversity not just as a nod to corporate responsibility but as a business imperative. “We didn’t know how it would work with employees who had developmental challenges, but the experience with the program has been all positive. It’s shown that we’re all people, we all have something to give and Chevron wants to welcome everyone,” said Julie Beltran, a Chevron business consultant who supervised the Carpinteria station..
