Introduction
JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPMorgan) , an American multinational finance company, initiated the Autism at Work program in 2015 as a four-person pilot at its Delaware, US office. The pilot program was aimed at addressing a shortage of IT talent and initially centered on technology roles with the four neurodiverse employees joining as software testers.
The program was a global strategy that identified best practices for recruiting and interviewing neurodivergent people. An instructor-led training workshop, which was available in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Mandarin, detailed the kinds of support that were available to both neurodivergent employees and their managers.
