Abstract
Slumdog Millionaire, is a movie directed by Danny Boyle, a British director based on the story of an Indian boy raised in the slums of Mumbai, India who participates in a popular game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and wins it, through sheer luck. The story is based in an Indian background with predominantly Indian cast and crew. The movie won eight Oscars and several other awards in international platforms, pushing the Indian cinema industry into the spotlight.
